On July 29, the VI Festival of Slavic Art "Russian Field" will be held in the Museum-Reserve "Tsaritsyno"
Last year a similar festival attracted about 200 thousand (!) spectators. No less is expected this Saturday. Plus - a record number of participants: about 3000 from 60 regions of Russia. Spectators will be able to participate in gingerbread painting, blacksmithing and pottery, knitting, weaving, doll making, etc. (more than 200 master classes in total).
Someone may want to shoot a bow, compete in sword or stick fights, and maybe even lift the shield of Svyatogor himself. The druzhina of Russian bogatyrs will teach, show and help.
For those who love horse tricks there is a special show program "Cossack prowess", as well as champion dzhigitovka of desperate guys from Tver, Voronezh and Moscow - jumping through the fire, riding standing on two horses, working with a pike, harness, etc. I'm not talking about chopping with a checkers. Into cabbage...
The highlight of the holiday - 20 historical ships on the Upper Tsaritsynsky pond, including an accurate reconstruction of the ship on which the ancient Russians went on the way "from the Varangians to the Greeks", five ancient Russian rooks of 10-12 centuries (two of them - fighting).
And, of course, the audience will be treated to an extensive musical program with the participation of famous bands - Kalinov Most, Gubernia, Scratch, Va-BankЪ, Quattro, Yarilov Znoi, as well as the Kuban Cossack Choir and the best choirs of Russia. An interesting detail: the Great Russian Choir (about 1000 artists) will perform a medley of songs about the capital in honor of the 870th anniversary of Moscow.
And in conclusion - a light show from the time of Catherine the Great!
All this is waiting for those who will come (better with their families) this Saturday to the park "Tsaritsyno".
After the promised beauty and presentation of the participants, I could not help but address the artistic director of the festival, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, famous musician Alexander F. Sklyar, who immediately warned me to speak louder ("You understand, I am a musician...").
- Sash, I was told that in addition to the extensive program, surprises are expected.....
- Well, on my line, the big surprise is Kalinov Most! I, as a rock'n'roller, had to lobby for this component....
- Doesn't it contradict the Russian tradition?
- No, I believe that Kalinov Most is definitely not a contradiction! I actively promoted this band and I'm glad it worked out. Next is the group "Scratch". This is, in fact, rap. This has never been on Russian Field either.
- The message is clear: attracting young people.....
- No doubt about it. Despite the fact that this is an experiment, we want to make sure that it is organically linked to our history. And, fortunately, we realized from their lyrics and repertoire that these guys are very knowledgeable and dig deep into the Russian theme. Well, I don't think anyone needs to be told about Kalinov Most....
- All this, of course, in addition to a large number of folklore and folk ensembles?
- Here you go Exactly. In addition to traditional choirs and folk groups. By the way, in the future, if I am given the opportunity, I am going to combine the rock'n'roll part more with choirs. I think it will be right and interesting. After all, youth culture is part of our modern Russian culture. И I also want to involve the avant-garde-jazz part in the future, maybe. For example, Sergei Letov. This is just such an avant-garde. Almost all of our jazz bands have a Russian component. And in my opinion, they should be invited to our festival. And we are moving towards this.
